Wear Else! first opened September 1, 2007 in Lenoir City, TN. Shortly after opening we were advised that the City was to purchase the property and building. We relocated to the Rocky Hill Shopping Center in December 2008 and reopened January 2, 2009. On October 29, 2010 we sustained a devastating fire and the store was a total loss. After months of shock and crying, we reopened on April 2, 2011. Prior to the fire I had been thinking of opening a second store and that would have to be in the Powell area. We have always has a great many customers from that area and that seemed like the next place we needed to be. I spent just a few hours out with my sister one day and found the perfect building and location of Wear Else!2. Everything seemed to all of a sudden fall into place and in a months time we open in Powell! I don't mind to tell you that opening two stores in three months has been an experience! I'm tired!!!!!! But it's all been worth it. Both stores are doing great and I really never expected the Powell store to do so well so fast. We opened the doors on June 24, to a crowd waiting to come in and it hasn't slowed down.
I have been truly blessed with the best staff I could imagine at both stores. And without all of them I know none of this would be possible. All of us have thrown our hearts and soles into both stores to make them a success and with your help I know they will be. We have great clothing, great prices and an incredible staff, you cant ask for more!
